Saut de la Lézarde Hike (Petit-Bourg, Guadeloupe) - How to find it?

Updated: 4 days ago

GPX track of the hike to go to Saut de la Lézarde, Guadeloupe without getting lost. The hike itself is not long but is quite muddy with a steep gradient. The waterfall is magnificent, probably one of the most beautiful in Guadeloupe. However, this hike is officially closed to the public. Indeed, there have already been deaths, notably in 2021 , due to a flash flood. I have also already seen an accident near the waterfall. The track is provided for information purposes.

The starting point is near Petit-Bourg. From the main road, a small path descends through the forest to the river. Allow about 20 to 30 minutes to reach the main basin. The trail is marked by dense vegetation and often damp ground.

The Saut de la Lézarde ends with a natural pool fed by a waterfall. The water, often fresh, attracts visitors despite the restrictions. If you decide to venture there, remain vigilant, especially during rainy periods when the currents can be unpredictable.
